Why we do it
Over the past decade, photography has become infinitely more affordable. With the cheapest digital cameras costing about as much as buying and developing 5 rolls of film, these days we can take as many photos as we want without any additional costs.
But...
Because we can take as many photos as you want, many of us have amassed huge collections of digital photos that we don't know what to do with or know how to find anything in.
Since we can now view our photos without having to print them, we're happy to leave them on our camera or computer to save space, or email to our friends. While prints and negatives take up physical space, your photo files take up virtual space. Either way, you'll eventually run out of room, forget where your photos are, or accidentally trash them.
And besides, the whole point of photos is to look at them, so why not keep them somewhere easily accessible?
These are all reasons why it's important to organise protect the photos you already have and develop a storage system for your new photos.
And these are the reasons why, upon discovering that her childhood was being stored in various shoeboxes around her parents' house, owner Bec Fazzalari set out on a mission to reassemble her photographic life. So Photo Album Organisers was born.
Bec says cataloging my family's photos brought back so many memories and made me realise just how valuable photos are. It also made me realise how difficult it is to identify photos after a few years, let alone after a few decades. It's just so important to organise and backup your photos.
